Childcare Philosophy & Staff
We believe that children learn about themselves, others and the world around them through play and creative expression. This allows children to naturally learn and practice important skills in the following areas:
- Social - Communication skills, friendship skills, conflict resolution, sharing and cooperation.
- Intellectual - Language and self-expression, problem solving, critical thinking.
- Physical - Large muscle skills and fine motor skills, safety skills, self-care skills (health, hygiene etc.)
- Emotional - Development of healthy self-steem, self-confidence, self-awareness and abilities to deal appropriately with emotions.
Our staffing component is made up of a Childcare Manager who is responsible for all the progams, plus Senior Supervisors for each of the childcare centres. The number of additional staff for each program is dependant upon the type of program and is always in accordance with child/staff rations set by Childcare Licensing Regulations. All staff, substitutes, students and volunteers are required to have a clear Criminal Record Search in accordance with the Criminal Records Review Act.
To provide a range of safe, stimulating and nurturing child care programs that respect and embrace each child and family.
