Established in 1993, Eaglets Daycare is part of the Sunrise community and provides highly inclusive and affordable childcare for children and families on the grounds of Xpey’ Elementary School. Located on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, our program honours the relationships, histories, and partners, including Xpey’ Elementary, who are part of our daily lives.

With deep neighbourhood roots and long-standing community connections, Eaglets Daycare offers a nurturing environment grounded in relational care, equity, accessibility, and inclusion, where children experience a strong sense of belonging.

Educators foster intentional play, outdoor engagement, creative expression, and opportunities for children to build friendships, develop independence, and follow their curiosities. We honour children’s voices, ideas, and diverse abilities, recognizing that they help shape the rhythm and experiences of the program.

Eaglets Daycare is a participating site in the Early Childhood Pedagogy Network and is supported by a pedagogist who strengthens collaborative and reflective practice while enriching the program through artistic and relational learning.

We are a $10/day program
Fee: $200.00/month

WITHDRAWING

One month’s written notice, by the last day of the previous calendar month, is required when withdrawing your child from the program or one month’s fee payment in lieu of one month’s notice.

Eagles Out-of-School Care (5-12 yrs)

Eaglets OSC is part of the Sunrise community and provides highly inclusive and affordable childcare for children and families on the grounds of Xpey’ Elementary School. Located on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tseil-Waututh Nations, our program honours the relationships, histories and ongoing presence of Indigenous families, community members, and partners, including Xpey’ Elementary, who are part of our daily lives.

Our Out-of-School Care curriculum is shaped by a responsive and relational approach developed collaboratively by children and educators within the program. We recognize that learning continues well beyond the school day, as children grow through intentional play, thoughtful engagement, and meaningful social interactions.

Educators listen closely to children’s interests, ideas and questions, using these insights to co-create experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage collaboration. Our curriculum is flexible and emergent, reflecting the cultural identities, lived experiences, and evolving needs of the children in our care.

Through strong relationships, creative exploration, and a sense of community belonging, we foster an environment where children feel empowered to express themselves, develop independence, and deepen their connections with others and the world around them.

Before School Care 7:30am-9:00am

Gentle drop-off and welcome routine
Indoor play centers and guided morning activities
Walking School Bus to local schools (departing by 8:30 AM)

After School Care 3:30-5:45pm

3:30pm Arrival and free play after school
4:00pm Healthy snack time
4:15pm Outdoor free play or gross motor games
5:00pm Crafting, creative play, or scheduled enrichment activities
5:30-5:45pm Carpet games and clean-up before pick-up

Summer Month Schedule (August-September)

Mon, Wed, Fri (In-Centre Days) Structured learning, crafts, indoor and outdoor play, and special theme-based activities.
Tues (Pandora Park Afternoons) For outdoor exploration, waterpark play, and games.
Thurs (Field Trip Days) These are the days we take our adventures even further! Details will be shared in each Monday’s schedule.
