Financial Subsidies
Britannia Community Centre is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder community members from participating in our programs and services. We offer several subsidy options to support eligible individuals and families.
Subsidy Overview
All programs at Britannia are subsidized and the fees and charges are set at the lowest reasonable rate. Still, Britannia wants to support those who cannot afford the advertised cost of certain programs or activities. A person may apply for a maximum of 2 subsidies per person per season. Please Note: Some programs do not qualify for subsidy. Approved applications can be processed at the Pool Cashier or Information Centre.
Leisure Access Program (LAP)
Residents of Vancouver with a Leisure Access Card may receive up to a maximum of 50% off registered programs (as well as discounts on other Vancouver Park Board programs & services), by completing the Self-referral application process, or by receiving a Third-Party Referral form.
Self-referral: application forms can be downloaded from the Leisure Access Program page, or picked up at the Info Centre or Pool Cashier. These applications are processed and approved at the LAP office.
Third-party Referral: forms can be filled out by a representative of government or non-profit support agencies for those who qualify, and then processed on site at the Info Centre or Pool cashier when presented with photo ID.
