East Vancouver Garden Tour

Jun 16, 2024 10:00 am - Jun 16, 2024 4:00 pm
Location: East Van gardens

Sunday, June 16th, Father’s Day, is your opportunity to visit a dozen or so delightful East Vancouver private gardens. http://eastsidegardentour.blogspot.com

Tickets go on sale on May 1st through Figaro’s Garden on Victoria Drive (cash only!) or online at eventbrite.ca.

The tour is self-guided. On the day of the tour, you pick up a tour map with locations and descriptions of all the gardens.

Each year we choose a selection of gardens in a relatively small area, so that once you start the tour you will likely be able to walk to all the gardens.

Our home base will be at Figaro's Garden (at 3rd and Victoria).

Please visit our East Vancouver Garden Tour website http://eastsidegardentour.blogspot.com for up-to-the-minute info about the tour, including how to check in and pick up your tour map.

Tickets are $20 per person (slightly more online with Eventbrite’s service charge).

We recommend that you register early, as the tour is popular and tickets are limited; we can’t guarantee it, but we do usually have some tickets available on the day of the tour.

The tour runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Any time after 10:00 a.m. on the day of the tour, you pick up your map.

Garden gates close at 4:00 p.m. We suggest you plan at least two hours to visit all the gardens. In each garden either the garden owner or a Master Gardener will be present to answer questions.

Note that most gardens cannot accommodate wheelchairs or strollers. Children must be 12 years or older or babes in arms. Pets are not allowed. Photos are allowed only with the gardener’s permission.

The tour is the fundraiser for Britannia Neighbours (britannianeighbours.blogspot.ca [britannianeighbours.blogspot.ca]), a group of community volunteers who have maintained the Napier Square Greenway (at Napier and Commercial Drive) for over 20 years. All the proceeds from the tour go toward buying plants and supplies and to paying people to water and pick up litter in the greenway.

The tour is jointly sponsored by Britannia Neighbours, Britannia Centre, and Figaro’s Garden.
